Adventure of the Fall Festival

Hello Adventures, We spent most of September looking for ways to support local businesses through Trunk-or-Treat events. The first business we connected with was Golden Carrol in Thornton, Colorado (we had an amazing time with this group of vendors and part of a different story). The second was Peace with Christ Lutheran Church, which is where our booth was set up. We always try to be active in our community, and we understand that events like this rely on contributions from charitable folks like us. This particular event required payment for a booth space, along with any additional items like chairs or tables, which makes sense to ensure participants take it seriously and attend. There was a 48-hour window to cancel for a refund; otherwise, the payment was considered a donation to the church. We did encounter some confusion along the way, partly due to miscommunication. We received a “vendor” link via email stating that space was limited and that the event would take place in the gym. We thought this was great, as it would keep the kids warm. We paid $30 for our space and filled out the vendor form, noting that we were doing a trink trade—a trend from TikTok where people swap small trinkets like puzzles, mugs, or other items. We clearly indicated that we weren’t selling anything and were only giving out free candy. When we arrived, we reiterated this to the check-in staff, but were sent to our station without being informed that the trunk-or-treat was actually happening outside. We tried to distribute candy inside the gym, but it wasn’t well received, so we split duties between indoor and outdoor candy distribution. When we shared this with the organizers at Peace with Christ, they mentioned our vendor form was confusing, which left us wondering why no one reached out to clarify. On a positive note, we want to highlight the amazing vendors who contributed their time and handmade products—from crochet work and homemade remedies to jewelry and food. If we missed anyone, we apologize for not having your business cards for a proper shout-out. These small businesses deserve our support. Overall, this experience ended up on our Lady's Fail List, but we hope next year's event will be better organized so that the vendors have the opportunity to sell out their amazing items. A big shout-out to all the small vendors who participated—we loved seeing your incredible creations. Panda Fest 2026-Denver

Hello My Fellow Adventures, Over the weekend we went to the Panda Fest here in Denver, Colorado. With all the hype on social media I thought this 3 day festival was going to be huge. We showed up the start of the day which was at 10 am, when we arrived there was already a huge line (the line went fast). They did do a purse/bag check through a securtiy check point. After securtiy they would check your tickets via phone or print off and after they would scan you in, and hand you your free gift. But what we got instead was maybe a half a mile worth of stalls. Same kind of items just cycled throu in different stalls. Granted there were a few places that had something different, like the Ramen soup, and the claw machines were pretty cool. Food was expensive, starting off at 12$ plus. We had products that also started around the same price range, Prices for entry was about 20$ for general admission; 35$ for vip and extra on Saturday entry. The free gift for entry was a panda pin. And for my dear Adventures who like to inculde there fur babies they are excluded from entry, services animals were only able to enter. For those who maybe need some addition help (walkers, wheelchairs, cains, etc) I would say it may have been a little tough in the grass due to the rains we have been having here in Colorado so I can see maybe getting stuck in the mud, because I was have some issues in the grass due to some soft spots (not that you would get stuck but I could see mud getting on wheels or cains going down into the soft spots of grass/muddy area). Now after my little rant there I'm sure you guys are like okay friend but did you taste the food?!? And yes, I did. Granted not a whole lot due to the prices. Okay let's get into it, let's play a game called a Lady Nail or a Lady Fail. The items we got were the watermelon lemonade, beef ramen, soup dumplings, donuts, and some icecream. The list below of what was a nail and a fail. Lady Nail Lady Fail Watermelon Lemonade Soup Dumplings Donuts Beef Ramen Ice Cream Let's start on to the Lady Nails: I though the watermelon lemonade was refreshing (a little sticky, but still good), the dounts where very soft on the inside and had some yummy topping (again sticky) and the ice cream was pretty good as well. (theme of the day sticky so make sure you have some water or wipes to help get the sticky off). With the the Lady Fail: the soup dumplings was bone dry on the inside, it was basicly just the meat and veggies, No Liquids, and with the beef ramen, the soup part was so over salted (you would be so good on your salt intake for a week). With the Product vendors again majority of the vendors where selling the samething, some folks were cheaper than others, a lot of anime or crocheted items, entertainment wise granted I came on a Sunday was mostly music, Tai Chi and traditional daning. I'm sure Friday and Saturday enterainment was different then todays. Our total over view we would say this was a "Lady Fail", due to how expensive everything was, the same meals in the majority of the stalls, and same products. We hope there is some improvements next year.

Mrs. LLACAR'S PREK CLASS-The Gingerbread Man

Good Morning Class, We did everything we could to catch your Gingerbread Man here at Castlewood Canyon State Park, as we were trying to mail him back to your class he escaped back into the wild.
